Clumsy Ol' Me

For young womens this week we went ice skating at the local rink. I was proud of myself as I started to believe that I had made it through with out falling. But of course the rink wasn't having any of that. As our leaders called for us to get off I was nearly jumping for joy. About a yard from the exit my ice skate hit something and down I fell. I hit my head on the ice and bruised my knee pretty bad. The next day I woke up feeling sick with a screaming headache. I didn't freak out too much because I had been feeling like this ever since I left the rink. I told my mom about how I didn't feel good. She called the doctor to see if she could take a look and see if anything was wrong. I learned two things while I was there. 1) I couldn't pass a drunk driving test for the life of me, and 2) I had been given a concussion by the ice. The concussion wasn't too bad since I didn't lose conciousness or throw up. All though I've felt as if I was going to do both at any minute. The worst part was that I was going to go to Lagoon with some of my friends but of course that's not going to happen. So I'm suffering in as much silence as possible and feeling like I'm going to die at any second.

Youth Conference

Youth Conference was a blast! But then again, how could you not love being able to spend three days with close friends. The only downside was the weather. It was cold and sprinkling every day. The camp out started out with a little training from the pros. We were sitting outside waiting for our orientation when all of a sudden we hear yelling from the other side of the field. We turn to find six or seven army men/women running at us. I almost died. They bossed us around a little telling us the rules of the camp. By the end of the day my legs were sore from doing our little exercise, squatted jumping jacks saying "They're always after me lucky charms." Ya not fun. The rest of camp was wonderful as we were taught by many amazing speakers. Friday night there was a dance and by the end I was pooped. Ian and I came back on Saturday and were off with friends within an hour. All I can say is that I had a great time with great friends and great leaders!

Summer

Summer is finally here! I was starting to believe it was never going to come. This summer is going to be the best summer ever! I'm going to do everything I can this summer! So far I think that idea is coming along nicely. I've already seen two movies and gone to the mall three times! I can't wait to see what the rest of the summer holds!
